Lifar would like to thank Chagall for having authorized the use of the sketches of Daphnis and Chloé for a production at the theater in Cairo, in his name and in the name of the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Mr. Okacha. He says that the cultural adviser of the French embassy in Cairo is going to get in touch with M. Brunnet, head of the Ateliers de l'Opéra de Paris.
